Home modification funding resource finder
Answer three short planning questions to find a funding starting point, or browse the resource directory below. Compare grants, assessed support and tax relief without treating the result as an eligibility decision.

Grants, funded services and tax relief work differently. Programme rules, amounts and availability change. Confirm eligibility, permitted scope and written approval with the responsible agency before starting work.

Frequently asked questions
Does the funding finder tell me whether I am eligible?
No. It suggests a starting point based on the country, support topic and project stage you choose. The responsible agency checks the person, home, proposed work, evidence and programme rules. The tool does not award funding or rule out other support.
Can I use the same home adaptation grant route throughout the UK?
No. England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have different assessment and administration routes. Choose the UK nation in the guided questions or use the separate official links. Confirm the process with the council or relevant health and social-care service.
What if home modification work has already started?
Select “Work started or paid for” to see timing questions. Give the responsible agency or supplier the actual dates and ask what can still be considered. Do not assume retrospective funding. Tax claims, supplier invoice corrections and programme awards have different rules.
